Web 2.0 Wednesday Glittery Tool Highlight

Here we are in Week 4 of Web 2.0! Anyone else sort-of floundering with our weekly commitments?

If you find yourself worried you may be forgetting weekly tasks, check out my #EME6414 Weekly To-Do Listly which details all the engagement we should participate in each week!

As social media curators, bloggers should always be looking for innovative ways to present information and content.

A great way to engage your audience and promote your brand is through the use of graphics and infographics! Graphics help section and segment large portions of text and make content more accessible to the everyday reader.

So.... you're not a graphic designer?

No problem! This week's Web 2.0 Glittery Tool Highlight is Canva! I like to think of Canva as graphic design software for the 99% of people who have no experience with graphic design.

Canva provides users with drag-and-drop design abilities and access to multiple free templates. Yes, I said FREE templates!

I've been using Canva for about 2 years now and am still very pleased with the options the free account provides.

What can you use Canva for?

  • Social media graphics

  • To create banner images to embed in emails and social profiles

  • Infographics

  • Resumes

  • Cover Letters

  • Grading Rubrics

  • Business Cards

and so many more!

Stay tuned for tomorrow's blog post where I share my previous Canva projects and provide insight into my design choices!

Have you ever used Canva before? Do you have another favorite design software? Share it in the comments below!

Michelle
